A global technology organisation is investing seriously in enterprise transformation across HR and Finance, and they need a Project Manager who has genuinely delivered across both. This is a dual-specialism role. You'll need solid Workday / HRIS transformation experience and equally solid ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Finance Transformation experience. Candidates whose background sits only in Workday or HRIS, without wider ERP or Finance exposure, are unlikely to be suitable.
About the opportunity
You'll lead a portfolio of cross-functional transformation programmes spanning HR systems (Workday, HRIS, HCM) and Finance and ERP platforms (D365, D365 F&O, ERP implementation, migration and optimisation, finance transformation). Working alongside stakeholders in HR, Finance, Technology and Operations, you'll take projects through the full lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation, adoption and continuous improvement, with real ownership and visibility from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Lead transformation programmes spanning both HR systems and ERP / Finance platforms, end to end
- Deliver Workday / HRIS workstreams alongside D365, ERP and Finance Transformation initiatives
- Own project plans, budgets, resources and governance
- Gather requirements and facilitate workshops across HR, Finance, Operations and Technology
- Coordinate vendors, implementation partners and third-party suppliers
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests
- Run testing, deployment and go-live activities
- Lead change management, business readiness and training across functions
- Present progress and recommendations to senior stakeholders and Steering Committees
- Manage multiple cross-functional projects and workstreams simultaneously
Essential experience
Candidates must demonstrate experience across both Workday / HRIS transformation programmes and wider ERP, D365 or Finance Transformation initiatives. Applicants with experience solely in Workday or HRIS environments are unlikely to meet the requirements of the role.
This role will suit people working under titles such as Transformation Project Manager, Business Systems Project Manager, ERP Project Manager, HRIS Project Manager, Finance Transformation Project Manager or Enterprise Transformation Project Manager, provided they bring both sides of the experience above.
Alongside the dual background, you'll need:
- Strong full-lifecycle project delivery in complex enterprise environments
- Experience on cross-functional transformation programmes spanning HR and Finance
- Excellent stakeholder management across enterprise-wide initiatives
- Solid governance, planning and reporting
- Experience managing vendors and implementation partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Desirable
- Workday module experience (Core HCM, Recruitment, Talent, Performance, Learning, Compensation)
- D365 F&O / Dynamics Finance & Operations delivery experience
- Experience in complex or matrix organisations
- PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or Scrum certification
Package and benefits
- £70,000 - £75,000 salary
- 10% annual bonus
- 10.5% company pension contribution
- Private medical insurance
- Share scheme
- Hybrid working, 3 days in the office
- A broad enterprise transformation remit across HR and Finance
- Strong career progression as the work scales
Why join
This is a rare chance to apply genuine dual-specialism, Workday / HRIS alongside ERP / D365 / Finance Transformation, inside a successful international business that is properly backing its investment. For a PM who has built experience across both HR and Finance transformation, roles this broad don't come up often.
