Senior Data Engineer (Azure / Microsoft Fabric / AI)

We are recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data team within an leading wealth management organisation undergoing significant technology transformation, with strong investment in Azure, Microsoft Fabric and AI-driven data capabilities.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a modern data platform while also contributing to how machine learning and AI-driven insights are integrated into production environments.

You will play a key role in shaping how data is used across the business, combining hands-on engineering with technical influence.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver scalable Azure-based data pipelines and ETL workflows

Build and optimise data models supporting analytics and reporting

Support and enhance Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake environments

Contribute to the migration and adoption of Microsoft Fabric

Integrate machine learning and AI-driven outputs into data pipelines

Develop and support Power BI datasets and reporting layers

Mentor Data Engineers and support best practice across the team

Work closely with stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned to business needs

Requirements

Strong experience in Azure data engineering environments

Advanced SQL and data modelling capability

Experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake

Strong ETL and data pipeline development experience

Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms

Experience working with AI or machine learning data integration beneficial

Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others
