Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd are looking to recruit a full-time Pharmacy Technician. We are a supportive and forward thinking small organisation managed by a team of pharmacists and technicians. As a pharmacy technician, you will be a key part of our team working alongside our practice pharmacists within a GP practice.

Main duties of the job

The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively with the pharmacy team, wider healthcare team, patients and the public, whilst ensuring and maintaining confidentiality and privacy.

As a pharmacy technician you will need to be:

  • Accurate and methodical
  • Team player
  • Understanding of relevant local guidelines
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with GP practice prescribing systems

Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd is led by a team of pharmacists and technicians who hold contracts with various North East PCNs and practices to provide pharmacy staff. If you would like to join our team this is the perfect opportunity.

Job responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self driven pharmacy technician to join our small pharmacy team. This is a role that continues to develop and expand and an opportunity for you to shape the role of the technician.

Job Duties include:

  • Medication reconciliation of clinical letters and hospital discharges.
  • Supporting the repeat dispensing process
  • Medication shortages
  • Medication recall processes
  • In house audits re CQC/QOF/Medicines Optimisation Schemes
  • Supporting shared care
  • Providing a link for various stakeholders including community pharmacies and secondary care

Qualifications

  • BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical science
  • Registration with the GPC
  • Registered on, or completion of the CPPE primary care pathway

Experience

Experience of working within a GP practice
