Working for a leading B2B SaaS business, the Marketing Director will take ownership of the UK marketing function (team of 4 plus agencies), with a focus on brand and communications across a fragmented UK business, while also leading a central demand generation function. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, created to bring greater cohesion across multiple products, sectors and marketing teams.

The business has strong sector-specific marketing expertise in place, alongside central digital, design and content capability. The Marketing Director will bring these teams together under a clearer UK marketing strategy, ensuring marketing is commercially focused, consistent and aligned to revenue growth.

This role is based in London on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in the office, plus occasional UK travel for internal meetings and industry events.

The Marketing Director will:

  • Own the UK marketing strategy across brand, demand generation, digital, content and campaigns
  • Create a more consistent brand, tone of voice and messaging framework across multiple products and sectors
  • Lead central marketing capability across digital, design, content and creative
  • Work closely with sector-specific marketing leads to ensure activity remains commercially aligned
  • Improve lead quality, campaign performance, pipeline contribution and marketing reporting
  • Oversee website effectiveness, SEO, paid media governance, marketing automation and analytics
  • Develop clearer marketing KPIs, planning rhythms, prioritisation processes and execution standards
  • Manage and develop an in-house marketing team, while working effectively with external agencies
  • Partner closely with senior commercial, product and leadership stakeholders
  • Bring greater structure, consistency and commercial focus to a fragmented marketing environment

Candidates for the Marketing Director role must have:

  • Significant brand and communications marketing experience within B2B SaaS
  • Experience owning both brand strategy and revenue-focused marketing
  • A strong commercial mindset, with a clear focus on pipeline, lead quality and marketing ROI
  • Experience leading in-house marketing teams across digital, content, design or creative
  • A track record of creating cohesive marketing strategies across multiple products, sectors or business units
  • Strong understanding of demand generation, digital marketing, campaigns, content and marketing analytics
  • Experience managing external agencies and holding partners accountable to clear outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior commercial leaders
  • Comfort working in a newly created role with significant autonomy and freedom
  • The ability to bring clarity, structure and momentum to a complex marketing environment

This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created role with significant freedom, visibility and influence. The role offers the chance to shape the UK marketing function, bring together central and sector-specific teams, and create a clearer, more commercial marketing strategy for a growing B2B SaaS business.
