The project involves making design and UX improvements to an affiliates site to drive SEO and conversion performance, using work from a recent UX audit and evaluation project from an external SEO agency. This is a 3 month OUTSIDE IR35 contract and is UK remote, with occasional central London meetings.

- Make UI improvements (web and mobile) within current WordPress constraints, producing high‑fidelity designs and clear handoff for implementation. There will be no custom development, you’ll use off‑the‑shelf capabilities/plugins.
- Review current site, traffic patterns, and SEO recommendations; confirm template inventory & component list.
- Review UX audit carried out by internal UX Researcher and UX change recommendations.
- Agree success metrics and measurement points; confirm WordPress theme, plugin constraints, and block/template limitations.
- Present initial concept + component approach, mapped to WordPress block and template structure.
- Two structured review cycles with stakeholders & SEO agency.
- Final hi‑fi screens for all in‑scope templates (3 breakpoints), with annotated specs for WordPress build.
- Build approved designs within WordPress, applying updates to theme templates, custom blocks, and global styles.
- Implement responsive behaviour across 3 breakpoints; QA across browsers and devices.
- SEO agency review of implemented templates to confirm technical SEO requirements are met.
- Stakeholder review and consolidation of amends.
Candidates for the WordPress Designer / UI Designer / UX Designer role must have:
- Strong WordPress design experience, ideally for high-traffic sites.
