Working for a leading information services company, the Interim UX Consultant / Principal Product Designer / UX Strategist – B2B Product will review and assess a portfolio of subscription-based products, delivering clear, actionable recommendations to improve user experience, navigation, and overall product usability. This is a contract role based in Central London, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in the office.

The role will:

  • Conduct a rapid audit of existing products, identifying key UX, navigation, and structural issues.
  • Assess and improve information architecture, labelling, and content hierarchy across the product portfolio.
  • Evaluate information density and usability within complex, data-heavy interfaces.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise UX patterns across products while allowing for necessary variation across different user groups.
  • Work within the constraints of a legacy product stack currently undergoing modernisation.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including leadership-level discussions, to understand business priorities and constraints.
  • Translate findings into a clear, prioritised set of actionable recommendations.
  • Provide pragmatic guidance on implementation, balancing ideal UX outcomes with technical and operational realities.
  • Contribute to improving overall product usability, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Candidates must have:

  • Proven experience delivering UX improvements within complex B2B digital products or SaaS platforms.
  • Strong expertise in information architecture, navigation design, and usability optimisation.
  • Experience working on data-heavy, workflow-driven, or subscription-based products.
  • A track record of conducting UX audits or diagnostic reviews and delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working within legacy or constrained technology environments, with a pragmatic approach to improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior level.
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to move quickly and deliver value within a short timeframe.
  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
