Working for a UK D2C subscription services business, the Growth Marketing Director role involves driving customer growth and retention, including hands-on optimising campaigns across all digital channels, driving organic traffic and optimising funnel conversion. There are opportunities to be creative, test different channels and activities, including content marketing, and improve targeting, tracking and measurement capability. This is a mostly office-based role (Hertfordshire), with some potential for hybrid working.
The Growth Marketing Director will:
- Own all performance marketing activities, launching & optimising campaigns across all digital channels.
- Directly manage SEO, content marketing, CRO and lifecycle marketing/CRM.
- Manage external agencies to deliver continually strong results, potentially bringing performance marketing in-house over time.
- Maximise productivity through automation and feed integration.
- Rapidly identify high-potential ideas via a ‘test and learn’ approach.
- Implement monitoring tools and build the process/reports for analysing PPC performance.
- Balance revenue/lead growth with acceptable ROI levels.
- Make data-driven decisions based on metrics, industry insights, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
Candidates for the role must have:
- Expert level hands-on paid search experience, agency or client side with budget experience of £2m plus p/a.
- B2C / D2C transactional eCommerce experience from any sectors, eg retail, travel, media, airlines, price comparison, marketplaces, gambling, edtech, healthtech, experiences.
- Broader marketing experience including SEO, CRO, Content Marketing and CRM.
- Happy being hands-on, managing and optimising campaigns themselves directly as a senior IC.
- Any international campaign experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Very strong numeracy and comfort with data, ideally numeracy/STEM degree or equivalent experience.
