At Intelligent Legal Solutions (ILS), we're transforming how legal work in private investment funds gets done. Our flagship product, ProVision, is a legal tech SaaS platform that streamlines fund documentation and workflows for law firms and fund managers.

We have a clear product-market fit, a deep understanding of our buyers, and an ambitious roadmap. We operate at the intersection of legal, private investment funds, and workflow automation, and we're building the go-to platform for fund formation legal teams globally.

This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-calibre team that is seeing significant traction in the marketplace. The bar is high, the work is hands-on, and the impact on the company's growth, brand, and revenue will be direct and visible.

We move fast, take ownership, and stay close to our customers. We value clear thinking, simplicity over complexity. If you want to do the best work of your career in legal tech, we'd love to build with you.

About the Role

We are looking for a Middle or Senior Business Analyst to join our BA team. The team currently consists of a Lead BA and a Trainee/Junior BA, and you would be the third member.

You will work on a large enterprise web platform in the legal technology domain. The system has many features, many entity types, and many business rules and dependencies between them. A change in one module often affects several others, so we expect you to build a full picture of the product and to think through the impact of every change before it goes to development.

This is a hands-on requirements role. You will not only write short user stories and pass them on. You will investigate the problem, decide how the feature should behave in every case, document it, and support the development teams and QA until the feature is released.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Elicit and analyse requirements from business stakeholders, existing documentation, and the current behaviour of the system.

  • Write detailed requirements pages in Confluence: business context, scope, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, business rules, permission rules, and edge cases.

  • Document the happy path and every alternative and negative case, so that developers and QA do not have to guess.

  • Create and maintain user stories and tasks in Jira, keep the backlog clean, and keep requirements up to date when decisions change.

  • Prepare option-based proposals when the business has not given a clear answer, describe the pros and cons of each option, and get a decision.

  • Take part in refinement sessions, sprint planning, and demos with several development teams.

  • Answer questions from developers and QA during the sprint, and clarify behaviour that was not covered by the original requirements.

  • Review test cases and support UAT and release activities where needed.

  • Work with mockups and diagrams (Figma, draw.io, or similar) to explain flows and screen behaviour.

  • Write requirements for AI-based features, including what the model receives, what the user sees, and what happens when the result is wrong or empty.

  • Share knowledge with the Junior BA and review their documents when needed.

Must-Have Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on complex web systems: many features, many entities, many business rules, and many connections between them. Simple websites, landing pages, or single-purpose tools are not enough for this role.

  • Practical experience working in Scrum with more than one development team at the same time.

  • Confident daily use of Jira and Confluence.

  • Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases, and to choose the right format for the task.

  • Experience producing detailed requirements, not short summaries. You must be comfortable describing full behaviour: happy path, alternative flows, validation, error states, permissions, and impact on other parts of the system.

  • Ability to work with limited input from the business. You will sometimes have to analyse the existing system, prepare two or three implementation options, describe the consequences of each, and bring them to the stakeholders for a decision instead of waiting for a full specification.

  • Ability to run several different tasks in parallel, plan your own time, and switch context without losing details.

  • Ability to work at the pace of a large development organisation (50+ engineers), where features move quickly and requirements must be ready before the team needs them.

  • Understanding of AI principles at a practical level: what large language models and AI features can and cannot do, why the output is not always the same, and how to write requirements and acceptance criteria for a feature whose result is not fully predictable.

  • English at a level (B2+) sufficient for written documentation and daily communication with the team and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in legal tech, fintech, or another regulated domain with complex documents and contract data.

  • Experience writing requirements for systems with a complex permission model (roles, access levels, data visibility rules).

  • Experience with integrations and API-based data exchange between systems, including writing requirements for them.

  • Basic understanding of databases and the ability to read data structures, so you can discuss the data model with developers.

  • Experience with prompt design or with AI features that are already in production.

  • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior analysts.

  • Experience with product documentation and end-user guides.

How We Work

  • Scrum, with several development teams working on the same platform.

  • All requirements live in Confluence, all work items live in Jira.

  • Requirements are reviewed before refinement, so that the development team receives a document that is already complete.

  • The BA stays with the feature from the first analysis until release, and is the person the team asks when behaviour is unclear.

  • We use AI tools in our own daily work, and we build AI functionality into the product.

What Success Looks Like After Three Months

  • You understand the main modules of the platform and how they affect each other, and you can explain them to a new joiner.

  • You can take a feature request with limited information, prepare a set of implementation options, and get a decision from the business.

  • Your requirements pages go into refinement with few open questions, and developers and QA do not come back with basic behaviour questions.

  • You manage several features in parallel across different teams without missing sprint deadlines.
