Internally this will be our 'Social Media Specialist'. You will own II's social channels and serve as the voice of our infrastructure on the timeline. You'll translate SOTA open-source breakthroughs into cultural shockwaves. You'll run the strategy end-to-end, using an AI-native stack to turn technical complexity into the signal that drives the conversation.
Intelligent Internet (II) is building infrastructure for the Intelligence Age so AI can be open, verifiable, and accessible. We have shipped SOTA Open Source AI systems and published The Last Economy. Now, we need an AI-native social leader to own how II shows up online. This is not a standard social media role; it is a mandate for maximum amplification. You will serve as the interface between our code and the world, turning deep technical breakthroughs into cultural moments. We are looking for a strategic creative who is genuinely immersed in modern AI, understands the zeitgeist, and can turn what we build into social content people actually share.
The Responsibilities
- Own the Narrative: Manage II's social presence end-to-end: strategy, voice, cadence, formats, and execution across X and other priority channels.
- Translate SOTA to Viral: Turn releases, agents, books, demos, and research into clear, engaging posts and narratives with strong hooks and payoffs. You must be able to take something messy and technical and turn it into a clean, postable story quickly.
- Ship Consistently: Create a content calendar with daily posts on X, plus frequent short-form content that shows what we are building (demos, clips, lightweight motion).
- AI-Integrated Production: You don't just write about AI; you use it to multiply your output. You will use a defined stack of AI tools (e.g., Nano Banana, Higgsfield, Flux, Midjourney, etc.) to create high-quality visual assets, storyboards, and mockups rapidly.
- Campaigns & Culture: Build engaging, viral campaigns around releases and cultural moments, coordinating assets end-to-end. You will track what is breaking through in AI content and who is driving the conversation.
- Data-Driven Iteration: Use data to iterate fast: define success, run lightweight experiments, and share a weekly snapshot of what worked.
The Requirements
- Must Have Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media for an AI and/or deep tech company (or equivalent proof through exceptional work).
- Deep Fluency in GenAI: You actively follow builders and products and can explain what matters and why. You are comfortable with the difference between inference and training and understand why "open weights" matter.
- Proven Campaign Performance: Demonstrated track record of delivering social campaigns that drove measurable outcomes (e.g., reach, engagement, signups, community growth, repo stars).
- Elite Production Skills: Strong video editing skills and the ability to produce short-form content that travels. Motion/animation and Adobe After Effects experience is a plus.
- Short-Form Mastery: Strong short-form writing skills and a clear sense of taste. You can be witty without being cringe.
- Technical Storytelling: Proven ability to take technical concepts and execute social campaigns, not just post content.
- Automation Mindset: Experience using LLMs and agents to streamline research, social listening, and the repurposing of technical content.
Nice to Have Experience:
- Press: Experience packaging launches for press/newsletters (tight angle, media kit, embargo-friendly assets) and landing coverage without hype.
- Community management (Discord/Reddit): Experience moderating, setting norms, and sustaining daily engagement in Discord and/or Reddit—turning feedback into content and content into community momentum.
The Right Person
- Mastery of Context: You understand the "lore" of the space, the inside jokes, the history between key players, and the unspoken rules that make content resonate. You never need the reference explained.
- Situational Awareness: You know exactly what the timeline is focused on right now. You understand the current meta and how to insert our brand into the conversation authentically.
- Vibe Check: You catch the memes, the debates, and the vibe shifts naturally as they happen, not after reading a recap.
- Judgment & Taste: You grow the community with taste: participating in the right conversations and signal-boosting builders while protecting the brand (no hype, no drama, no vague claims).
- Tech-Fluent: You aren’t necessarily an engineer, but you can hang in the Discord. You know what signal looks like and how to chase it responsibly.
Working arrangement
- Full-time and permanent
- Location: London (on-site, 4-5 days/week)
- Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
