The Role
We are looking for someone to join our team in Invergowrie. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, the Technical Operator role combines the day-to-day activities of sowing, measuring and harvesting crops, as well as being the site support for planned and reactive maintenance of equipment, infrastructure and systems.
A summary of what you would do:
- Support the growing lifecycle including sowing, germination, launching, growing, and harvesting.
- Carry out crop maintenance activities (cleaning, trimming) to ensure crop health and trial integrity.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on farm and site equipment.
- Repair and maintain electro-mechanical systems to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
- Lead or support deep cleaning operations, including towers, equipment, and fertigation tanks.
About You
You are likely to have hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, farming or production environments. You know about crop husbandry, horticulture, plant science or agronomy. You may be a time-served or qualified engineer or you might have considerable operational experience. You are comfortable switching between physical, technical and analytical tasks. You have great attention to detail and you are a strong team player.
