As a Software & Controls Engineer within our Product Development team, you will deliver embedded control strategies, design and firmware for systems and system components, from early prototypes to fully developed products, through a robust development process. You will carry out on‑hardware validation and verification activities first hand, to facilitate debug and analysis at various levels.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team to meet project deliverables in a fast‑paced environment and a high‑performance culture of time, cost and quality delivery.
About You
You’re a motivated and detail‑focused engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work.
You’ll bring:
- A degree (Beng/BSc or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in a highly regulated industrial environment such as Automotive or Aerospace.
- Ability to describe complex concepts comfortably and adapt spoken and written communication to suit the audience.
- Strong capability to develop systems and simulations in the MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow environment and deploy software onto embedded real‑time control hardware using auto‑coders and bare‑metal C programming.
- Experience with hardware integration and troubleshooting through sensors and actuators using a variety of protocols including CAN and serial protocols such as SPI.
- A process‑driven approach to developing, testing, problem reporting and change management.
