This is an entry-level role perfect for graduates that meet the basic criteria listed below for a period of 12 months. The Pensions Analyst is responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and administration of pension scheme data. You will perform benefit calculations and maintain member databases. This role requires a high degree of numerical accuracy and the ability to translate technical financial data into clear information for stakeholders. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives working in a busy environment, and it will provide you with opportunities to learn new skills and the potential to progress within the company. Full training will be provided on site. After the initial induction an experienced employee will be on hand to support you and answer any queries you may have. Your role will mainly be administrative, but it requires accuracy and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Data Management: Maintain and update participant databases, ensuring all records (salary, service history, and contributions) are accurate and secure.
- Responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and managing data within various computer systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensuring presence and accuracy of member data using internal tools.
- Working through caseloads allocated to you via your manager.
- Identifying and escalating complex cases for review.
- Working with your team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any STEM field along with Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field. Other fields will be considered.
- Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about the pensions industry.
- Communicate clearly and calmly.
- Explain technical acronyms and jargon in plain English.
All successful candidates will be required to go through the Security Clearance (SC) process, which requires being present within the UK for a minimum of 5 years. Candidates must be able to attend an interview day in-person, at the Liver Building, on Saturday 31st January. Sponsorship is not available for this role. All candidates must have lived in the UK for 5 years and have the right to work in the UK. Applications must be submitted by the 30th January 2026 with a start date in early February.
