Seeking a Senior Cognos Developer/Admin with strong SQL expertise and hands-on Cognos Administration experience. Responsible for developing enterprise reporting solutions while maintaining Cognos platform stability, security, and performance. Ideal candidate has experience in Cognos Development and Administration within large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and Framework Manager models.
- Create reusable, high-performance reporting solutions.
- Build pixel-perfect, burst reports, drill-throughs, and dashboards.
- Optimize report and query performance.
- Develop and maintain metadata models, packages, and data layers.
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions.
SQL & Data
- Develop complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
- Perform query tuning and execution plan analysis.
- Work with large enterprise datasets.
- Design efficient reporting data models and determine optimal placement of business logic.
Cognos Administration
- Administer Cognos Dev, QA, and Prod environments.
- Manage security, LDAP/AD integration, roles, permissions, and data sources.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong expertise in ALL BELOW WITH Cognos Version 12 and Higher:
- Cognos Analytics Framework Manager Report Development & Dashboarding
- Cognos Administration
- Advanced SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift).
- Experience with AWS environments.
- Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise reporting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Services / Asset Management experience.
- Cognos migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
