- Strong understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud “CCv2” infrastructure, deployment architecture, and scaling principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cloud-based infrastructure and diagnose system-level issues.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as ADO, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (within the CCv2 context), and cloud monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Commerce build and deployment mechanisms, including impex, HAC, and backoffice tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a clear, methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
- Experience coordinating release timelines and dependencies with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple organizations.
- Experience navigating SAP support offerings, including established relationships with key SAP support team influencers.
- Ability to support working hours in USA’s Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT).
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Commerce Cloud
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of observability tools like Dynatrace, Kibana, or SAP Cloud Portal.
- Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure related certifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in B2B apparel wholesale or digital platforms serving distributor or reseller networks.
- Familiarity with SAP integrations for ERP (D365), inventory, or customer-specific pricing.
- Familiarity with headless or composable commerce approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Diagnosis & Optimization: Monitor, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure, health, and performance issues in SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environments (Dev, QA, Prod), including scaling inefficiencies, downtime events, and integration failures. Partner and collaborate with SAP support, customer and SI partner development teams, and the customer and SI partner DevOps teams to investigate platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and environment failures. Evaluate CCv2 logs, monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace and Kibana), and system metrics to investigate and ensure platform stability and performance. Recommend improvements to cloud infrastructure, autoscaling configurations, and performance tuning.
- Release & Deployment Coordination: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP Commerce Cloud release cycles. Develop and maintain detailed release plans and deployment schedules in coordination with developers, QA, and business stakeholders. Ensure release readiness by validating code quality, performing deployment dry-runs, and managing change control processes. Conduct dry-run deployments and prepare rollback plans to ensure zero-downtime releases. Manage CI/CD pipelines in CCv2, including validation of build jobs, deployment artifacts, and rollback procedures. Track release metrics and continually refine deployment processes to minimize disruption and risk.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between SAP, customer business teams, and technical leads (both customer and partner SIs) to communicate release timelines, risks, and mitigation plans. Ensure seamless handover of code from development to QA and from QA to production. Provide training and documentation for operations and support teams post-deployment.
