We are seeking a proactive, technically adept and highly skilled SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) Infrastructure & Release Manager to oversee the technical health, stability, and deployment lifecycle of our SAP Commerce Cloud environment. This role is responsible for driving improvements to and maintaining infrastructure stability, diagnosing infrastructure and performance issues, and managing the end-to-end planning and execution of SAP Commerce Cloud releases and deployments on SAP’s “CCv2” cloud infrastructure. Experience in B2B apparel wholesale is a strong asset, as understanding complex buyer relationships and product configurations will be helpful in navigating this role.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), with at least 3+ years in CCv2 environments across multiple distinct projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud “CCv2” infrastructure, deployment architecture, and scaling principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cloud-based infrastructure and diagnose system-level issues.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as ADO, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (within the CCv2 context), and cloud monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Commerce build and deployment mechanisms, including impex, HAC, and backoffice tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a clear, methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
- Experience coordinating release timelines and dependencies with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple organizations.
- Experience navigating SAP support offerings, including established relationships with key SAP support team influencers.
- Ability to support working hours in USA’s Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT).
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Commerce Cloud
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of observability tools like Dynatrace, Kibana, or SAP Cloud Portal.
- Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure related certifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in B2B apparel wholesale or digital platforms serving distributor or reseller networks.
- Familiarity with SAP integrations for ERP (D365), inventory, or customer-specific pricing.
- Familiarity with headless or composable commerce approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Diagnosis & Optimization: Monitor, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure, health, and performance issues in SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environments (Dev, QA, Prod), including scaling inefficiencies, downtime events, and integration failures.
- Partner and collaborate with SAP support, customer and SI partner development teams, and the customer and SI partner DevOps teams to investigate platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and environment failures.
- Evaluate CCv2 logs, monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace and Kibana), and system metrics to investigate and ensure platform stability and performance.
- Recommend improvements to cloud infrastructure, autoscaling configurations, and performance tuning.
- Release & Deployment Coordination: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP Commerce Cloud release cycles.
- Develop and maintain detailed release plans and deployment schedules in coordination with developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure release readiness by validating code quality, performing deployment dry-runs, and managing change control processes.
- Conduct dry-run deployments and prepare rollback plans to ensure zero-downtime releases.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines in CCv2, including validation of build jobs, deployment artifacts, and rollback procedures.
- Track release metrics and continually refine deployment processes to minimize disruption and risk.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between SAP, customer business teams, and technical leads (both customer and partner SIs) to communicate release timelines, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure seamless handover of code from development to QA and from QA to production.
- Provide training and documentation for operations and support teams post-deployment.
- Reestablish trust in SAP Commerce Cloud CCv2 release infrastructure and associated pipelines and procedures amongst the customer executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrate through reporting and other means improved reliability and outcomes with respect to SAP Commerce Cloud releases and the associated deployment lifecycle.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all releases follow compliance and governance standards, including security reviews, risk assessments, and rollback procedures.
- Enforce governance policies related to change management, audit logging, and release authorization.
- Maintain documentation for release planning, configuration changes, infrastructure diagrams, and post-release reviews.
