Your VISTA Journey Starts Here

At Intelli-Park, our civils and signage teams are the foundation of every intelligent parking installation – the groundworks that make our ANPR cameras, columns and control cabinets work, and the signage that makes every site clear, compliant and enforceable. As our Civils Engineering Supervisor, you’ll lead both teams day to day: planning their work, setting the standard on site and making sure every duct, column, reinstatement and sign is delivered safely, to specification and right first time. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone with strong groundworks experience who wants to develop people, raise standards and help shape how we build smarter parking across the UK.

V – Visionary (Think Forward)

  • Setting and driving best practice across civils and signage works, from ducting, trenching and column installation to reinstatement and sign fixing.
  • Reviewing methods, tools, fixings and materials to improve the efficiency, safety and longevity of our installations.
  • Working with Project Managers and Surveyors at the planning stage to make sure civils scopes and signage plans are buildable, compliant and future-proofed for upgrades and site expansion.
  • Identifying training needs and building the skills of the team as it grows.

I – Intentional (Act with Purpose)

  • Planning and allocating weekly schedules for Civils Engineers and Signage Installers, making best use of the team’s time, travel and vehicles.
  • Sequencing civils and signage works on each site so posts, columns and signs go in efficiently and in the right order.
  • Ensuring columns, ducting, cabling routes and signage are installed accurately to installation documents and signage plans, with any variations fully marked up.
  • Making sure RAMS, permits, site inductions and certification records are correct and in place before work starts.

S – Synergy (Be Brilliant, Together)

  • Leading regular toolbox talks, ride‑outs, one-to-ones and mentoring sessions.
  • Coaching and supporting your team – especially new starters and less experienced engineers and installers.
  • Acting as the link between the civils and signage teams and ANPR Installers, Electricians, Project Managers, Surveyors, clients and site contacts.
  • Representing Intelli-Park professionally on every site, whether public-facing or client-owned.

T – Tenacity (Stay Switched On)

  • Resolving on-site challenges – unexpected services, access problems, weather or missing materials – with calm, decisive leadership.
  • Re‑planning the team quickly when priorities change, including urgent signage replacements and reactive civils work.
  • Being the first point of escalation for groundworks and signage issues, and leading the investigation and resolution of faults, snags and delays.

A – Accountability (Own It)

  • Managing the team’s performance, attendance and conduct, and ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Auditing site standards including cable avoidance practice, reinstatement quality, sign placement, working at height, PPE and tool condition.
  • Making sure every job is closed out with complete install reports, pre- and post-work photos and accurate records.
  • Reporting on progress, team utilisation, snagging and KPIs to the Engineering, Facilities & Maintenance Manager.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Line‑managing the Civils Engineers and Signage Installers, including recruitment support, inductions, probation reviews, one-to-ones and appraisals.
  • Overseeing and supporting the installation of ANPR columns, signage posts, ducting and control cabinets to specification.
  • Ensuring safe and competent use of CAT4 cable avoidance tools, asphalt/concrete cutters, trenching equipment and reinstatement kits.
  • Overseeing excavation, backfill, reinstatement and making good to the required standard.
  • Ensuring signage is installed to signage plans using correct fixing methods, and is visible, level, secure and spaced in line with BPA guidance.
  • Coordinating site readiness, deployment planning and daily logistics – including survey data, site access, permits and materials.
  • Reviewing drawings, installation documents and signage plans to confirm they are workable before install day.
  • Managing tools, plant, vehicles, PPE and van stock (including sign fixings, banding and signage materials) across the team.
  • Leading Health & Safety compliance including RAMS, working at height, manual handling, lifting operations and method statements.
  • Liaising with suppliers, clients, site contacts and project leads to keep works aligned and on schedule.
  • Maintaining ISO-ready documentation and quality assurance records.

What You’ll Bring to the Park

  • Proven experience as a Civils Engineer, Groundworker or Street Works Operative, including time in a supervisory or team‑leading role.
  • A strong track record of managing and motivating field‑based teams.
  • CSCS or CPCS card (required); NRSW Supervisor accreditation (highly desirable).
