VP Applications Engineering – CPU & AI Infrastructure A rare opportunity to help shape the future of CPU performance for AI. Join an ambitious stealth mode start-up who are developing a custom CPU designed to overcome the limitations of today’s processors. This is a hands-on applications and performance engineering leadership role. You’ll work directly with the CTO and CPU team, analysing real-world AI workloads, profiling performance on existing silicon and translating the findings into architectural improvements. Responsibilities: Build and lead the applications engineering team whilst remaining hands-on Analyse AI and data centre workloads to identify CPU performance bottlenecks Benchmark workloads on existing silicon in the marketplace Engage with leading AI labs, hyperscalers and infrastructure teams Requirements: Relevant technical degree, or equivalent, in electronic engineering Strong understanding of CPU performance and data centre software stacks Experience working with AI Labs and hyperscalers Good knowledge of compilers a definite plus If you are interested in defining a new CPU architecture from the ground up, working directly with world-class engineers and taking ownership of a critical function at an early stage — get in touch with Rebecca at IC Resources for more information.
