Join a leading defence technology company – Embedded Software Engineer, Stevenage
A leading defence technology organisation is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced seeker systems.
This is a hands-on role covering the full software lifecycle, from requirements, architecture and design through to implementation, verification and testing. You’ll work closely with hardware and firmware engineers on complex real-time systems, with opportunities to work directly with specialist hardware and test equipment in the lab.
For this Embedded Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
Proven experience developing hard real-time embedded software
Strong C programming skills
Experience with embedded communication protocols such as SPI, UART, Ethernet or PCIe
Experience with embedded software architecture and design
Familiarity with software design methodologies such as UML
Strong understanding of system performance, integration and debugging
Experience across the full software development lifecycle
A proactive, collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
