Our international client is currently searching for a Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to provide equipment engineering and technical support to the Epitaxy team, ensuring high equipment uptime, supporting production, fault finding, maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement.

  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance with Manufacturing and Process teams
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve MOVPE/MOCVD and associated semiconductor equipment
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning and new-tool procurement
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise uptime
  • Provide technical guidance to Shift Technicians and supervise contractors/service engineers
  • Support equipment moves, cleanroom projects and shutdown activities, including occasional weekend overtime
  • Liaise with suppliers and specialist service providers

Minimum 5 years' semiconductor/wafer fab or epitaxy engineering experience

Good knowledge of vacuum systems, Hi-Vac, pumps, leak testing, pneumatics and PLCs

Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics

HNC/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship

Semiconductor process gas systems and Mass Flow Controllers
