b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the development and delivery of laser-based manufacturing processes for R D and customer projects. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate schedules and resources, and translate customer needs into effective laser processing solutions. You will optimize laser and optical processes, analyze results, and document findings to support technical decisions. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and customer sites to ensure high-quality, validated solutions that meet industry standards. This leadership position offers the chance to shape laser applications and drive impact across customer programs and internal R D efforts. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead and prioritise R D and customer application projects, managing a team of engineers /li li Manage project schedules, resources and progress, reporting to management /li li Translate customer requirements into effective laser processing solutions /li li Develop and optimise laser and optical processes for materials processing /li li Analyse results and produce technical reports and documentation /li li Provide technical support to the sales team, and participate in customer presentations /li li Work with electrical, mechanical and software teams to optimise machine designs /li li Commission laser processes on customer machines and support acceptance testing /li li Lead testing, validation and resolution of technical issues /li li Ensure processes meet relevant quality and industry standards /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Degree or extensive experience in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline /li li Proven experience designing, developing or implementing lasers and optical systems /li li Strong knowledge of laser materials processing /li li Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously /li li Experience leading technical teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities /li li Strong analytical and problem-solving skills /li li Excellent communication and interpersonal skills /li li Strong reporting and technical documentation capabilities /li li Ability to identify and implement improvements to process efficiency /li li Masters degree or PhD (desirable) /li li Knowledge of electronics and/or photovoltaic industries (desirable) /li li Chinese language skills (desirable) /li li Experience working directly with customers on technical development (desirable) /li /ul ul li strong communication /li li interpersonal skills /li li leadership /li li lasers and optical systems design /li li laser materials processing /li li project management /li /ul
