Our client is a major UK defence and security technology business working across advanced mission systems, RF communications, cyber and intelligence programmes.

They are looking for a Senior RF Engineer to support the development, test and analysis of RF systems used in complex, high-impact environments.

This is a varied role, suited to someone who wants to work across real RF systems rather than being boxed into one narrow area.

The work can involve RF circuit modelling, antenna selection and optimisation, SDR development, RF test and measurement, vulnerability analysis, and the development of deployable RF technologies.

As a Senior RF Engineer, you will be involved in the design, analysis, testing and verification of RF systems across a range of defence and security applications.

Depending on your background, this could include hands-on lab work, simulation, system development, field trial support, or specialist tool development for RF system analysis.

They are looking for experience in areas such as RF communications systems, RF circuit design or modelling, antenna selection or characterisation, and RF test and measurement using equipment such as spectrum analysers, VNAs or vector signal analysers.

Experience with SDRs, GNU Radio, Open CPI, Python, C/C++, VHDL, Linux or DSP would also be highly relevant.

Although advertised as a Senior RF Engineer role, our client is open to speaking with RF Engineers at various levels, particularly those with strong hands-on experience across RF systems, SDRs, antennas, test or vulnerability analysis.

This role is based in Gloucester and requires DV clearance.

Salary is £72,500 to £90,000, plus benefits and bonus.
