Overview

In this role you will lead the Edinburgh R&D analog design team as part of a global semiconductor leader. You shape the architecture and direction of next-generation PMIC silicon, guiding a 20–25 engineer team and driving cross-functional collaboration. You will focus on leadership, technical direction, and scaling the division, from ground up in a new technology space. This is a hands-off leadership opportunity with a high-impact footprint in power-management technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a 20–25 person analog design team and scale organization for 2027 growth
  • Shape system architectures for PMIC-focused silicon and power-management solutions
  • Drive end-to-end IC development process awareness to enable cross-functional collaboration
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and hiring to build high-performance team
  • Set strategic direction for the division and technology space in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Engage with cross-functional teams spanning digital design, packaging, test, quality, and product engineering
  • Influence project scoping and roadmap from inception through delivery

Key requirements

  • Extensive analog IC design background with PMIC expertise
