We are partnering with a premier Semiconductor company seeking a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer with expertise in power conversion to join their expanding team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation mixed-signal and power management ICs as the company continues to expand into high-growth automotive and industrial markets.

As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of high-performance mixed-signal ICs, including advanced power converters implemented in leading-edge CMOS technologies. You will take ownership of designs from specification and architectural definition through circuit implementation, integration, layout supervision, and post-silicon validation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs with a focus on power conversion applications
  • Defining architectures and translating system requirements into robust circuit solutions
  • Driving designs from concept through integration and tape-out
  • Overseeing layout implementation and supporting silicon bring-up, characterisation, and debugging activities
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across design, verification, and product development

Requirements:

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven industry experience in analog IC design and mixed-signal development
  • Strong understanding of analog architecture, circuit implementation, and chip-level integration
  • Experience in power management ICs (PMICs), DC-DC converters, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), buck, boost, or buck-boost converter design
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment
