The RF Communications Engineer will design and develop specialist communications hardware for applications including secure communications, air defence, counter-UAS and space-based systems. Projects cover the full development cycle, from early technical concepts and system architecture through to circuit design, prototyping, integration and laboratory testing. As an RF Communications Engineer, you will build and debug RF hardware, investigate performance issues and work with antenna, signal processing, electronics and systems specialists to deliver complete communications products. Our client is looking for strong fundamentals in RF communications and practical experience developing, testing and debugging RF circuits or systems. You should have a degree in electronics, electrical engineering or a related subject, alongside a hands-on approach and the ability to solve complex technical problems. Experience with RF system simulation, antenna design or testing, and digital signal processing would be useful, although practical communications hardware experience is the main priority. This RF Communications Engineer position offers access to dedicated RF laboratories and an anechoic chamber, alongside a broad range of technically varied projects.
