You’ll work across the full development cycle — from architecture and PIC design through simulation, tape‑out, direct foundry collaboration and first‑silicon validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the WDM architecture, wavelength plan and optical power budget
- Design and optimize AWGs, micro‑rings, filters and multiplexers
- Develop complex silicon photonic circuits for high-speed optical links
- Model loss, crosstalk, thermal drift and manufacturing variation
- Own foundry design reviews, tape‑out sign-off and silicon debug
- Analyse first‑silicon results and feed findings into future designs
Your background
- Strong silicon photonics / PIC design experience
- Successful PIC tape‑outs and experience with foundry PDKs
- Strong knowledge of WDM, AWGs and/or resonant photonic devices
- Photonic simulation and layout verification experience
- MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
- Experience with CW‑WDM, high‑speed optical links, Lumerical, Cadence, Python or MATLAB would be advantageous.
