Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as an SAP Consultant specializing in Variant Configuration (AVC & LO-VC).
- Strong understanding of SAP LO-VC (Legacy Variant Configuration) and AVC (Advanced Variant Configuration).
- Experience with object dependencies, constraints, and rules-based configuration.
- Knowledge of SAP SD, MM, PP and how variant configuration interacts with these modules.
- Familiarity with pricing procedures and BOM (Bill of Materials) in configurable materials.
- Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate business needs into system configurations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with S/4HANA and migration from LO-VC to AVC.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 for configuration-related applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain SAP AVC (Advanced Variant Configuration) and LO-VC models.
- Define characteristics, dependencies, constraints, and object dependencies for product modeling.
- Ensure accurate and efficient product configurator setup to support business needs.
- Collaborate with business teams and functional consultants to gather requirements for product configuration.
- Provide expertise on best practices for variant configuration and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in resolving issues related to incorrect configurations, pricing, or rule setups.
- Work closely with SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), and other relevant SAP modules to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new configurations and enhancements.
- Assist in migrating from LO-VC to AVC (if applicable).
- Optimize configuration models to improve system performance and maintainability.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation related to variant configuration.
- Provide user training and support for key users on configuration-related functionalities.
