Job Description
Sustainability Consultant – Real Estate / Architecture
Location: Hybrid (Surrey – must be able to commute)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + bonus (flexible DOE)
Are you passionate about sustainable building design and looking to develop your expertise with a leading real estate and architecture client? We’re looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join a forward-thinking team delivering innovative, low-carbon solutions across commercial and residential projects.
The Role:
- Carry out IES modelling to assess building performance and optimise energy efficiency
- Deliver Commercial EPCs and advise on improvements to achieve the highest ratings
- Support the design and planning teams with sustainability input throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with architects and engineers to integrate low-carbon strategies
- Contribute to client sustainability reporting and certifications as required
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with IES software (mandatory)
- Skilled in CAD, Rhino, and Grasshopper for building design and data-driven modelling
- Knowledge of Commercial EPC requirements and experience delivering them in practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in the built environment
- Understanding of sustainable building standards and low-carbon design principles
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years’ experience in a sustainability consultancy or building services role
- A strong interest in architectural design, energy modelling and delivering measurable sustainability outcomes
- Someone proactive, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with clients and stakeholders
- Based in the Surrey area (or commutable distance) – hybrid role with office attendance required
