Remote Junior Support Engineer

Location: Remote (UK or EU preferred)

Reports To: Support Team Lead / IT Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Junior Support Engineer to join our remote IT team. Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users via ticketing systems, email, and remote tools.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across MacOS, Windows, and Linux systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (account setup, hardware provisioning, access control).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and support processes.
  • Support SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, and Atlassian tools.
  • Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Contribute to knowledge base and internal process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • Some experience in a helpdesk or IT support role (internships or freelancing welcome).
  • Understanding of basic networking, user account management, and OS troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote team setup.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Exposure to ITSM/ticketing tools (Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
