The RoleYou’ll be a key technical presence on customer sites, making sure specialist automated and robotic equipment is installed, commissioned, and running reliably in live construction and industrial environments.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs on automated machinery
- Supporting system installation, setup, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Providing on-site technical support and operator guidance
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical faults in real-world site conditions
- Feeding back site experience and improvement ideas to internal engineering and product teams
- Keeping accurate service records and technical documentation
This is a field-based role with regular travel across the Bristol area and wider UK.

- Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Automation/Plant Engineer
- A background working with machinery, automation systems, construction plant, robotics, or similar specialist equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- The ability to work independently and represent the business professionally on-site
- Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical people
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
- £50,000–£55,000 salary
- £6,000 car allowance
