An established and growing MEP consultancy is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the continued expansion of its in-house mechanical design team. This is a key hire, offering autonomy, technical ownership, and the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of the design function.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality mechanical building services designs across a range of projects
- Undertake occasional site visits and plantroom surveys, predominantly within the London area
- Produce detailed mechanical designs covering HVAC, plant, and associated systems
- Provide in-house design solutions and technical support to clients
- Work independently while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
- Support the growth and development of the mechanical design team as the business expands
About You
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an MEP / Building Services environment
- Strong HVAC and plantroom design experience
- Qualified Mechanical Design Engineer (degree or equivalent)
- Sound technical knowledge with the confidence to manage work autonomously
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
- Experience producing surveys, reports, and client-facing design documentation
