I’m working with a well-established professional services organisation in London that is looking to add a hands-on IT Support Engineer to their growing support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid 1st/2nd line experience who enjoys a mix of user support, technical troubleshooting, and project involvement. You’ll be supporting a high-performing, professional user base, so strong communication skills and a calm, service-focused approach are essential.
The Role
- Providing 1st and 2nd line support to end users
- Acting as a professional and friendly point of contact for IT helpdesk queries
- Troubleshooting Windows OS and desktop issues
- Supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications
- Managing mobile device setups and handset migrations
- Administering Active Directory / Entra ID and Microsoft Exchange
- Carrying out PC builds, deployments, and user data migrations
- Assisting with IT projects such as rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, and system migrations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and user-facing support skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Solid troubleshooting experience with modern Windows environments
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID user administration
- Experience supporting email systems (Exchange/365)
- Hands-on experience with device builds, migrations, and deployments
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, subnetting)
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management / Conditional Access
- Familiarity with email security & filtering tools (e.g. Mimecast, SPF, mail flow)
- Awareness of firewalls such as SonicWall or WatchGuard
- Experience working in dynamic, multi-site or flexible IT environments
