We are seeking an AI Engineer to join a fast-growing, AI-focused organisation as they establish their UK presence. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background who is passionate about building conversational AI systems and wants to work at the forefront of NLP and large language model (LLM) development.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising conversational AI agents, working closely with a collaborative, technically driven team. This is a great opportunity to join early, contribute to core product development, and shape how intelligent AI systems are deployed in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and optimise conversational AI agents using modern NLP and LLM frameworks
  • Develop and refine dialogue flows, prompts, and system behaviours to improve user interactions
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality AI solutions
  • Integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Evaluate and improve model outputs through testing, iteration, and data-driven insights
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, NLP, and generative models
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, NLP, or a similar role (or strong relevant projects)
  • Experience working with Python and relevant AI/ML libraries
  • Understanding of NLP concepts, conversational systems, or large language models
  • Familiarity with APIs and integrating AI models into applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
