Junior Full-Stack Engineer | £50k–£70k + Equity | London (5 days on‑site)
An early‑stage, well‑funded AI startup backed by leading Silicon Valley investors is rebuilding one of the most outdated and mission‑critical industries in the global economy — a $64B market still running on manual checks, PDFs, and spreadsheets.
The team is designing AI‑native agentic systems that compress certification and audit timelines from months to days, using advanced workflows, LLM‑powered automation, and modern engineering practices. Having recently closed an oversubscribed $3.2M pre‑seed round, they are now looking for an exceptional Junior Full‑Stack Engineer to join their founding team.
Why This Role Is Unique
This is not a typical junior position.
You’ll work directly with two highly experienced technical founders who have spent years deploying enterprise AI systems across more than twenty industries.
You will:
- Own meaningful architectural decisions early on
- Be deeply involved in building the company’s core AI systems
- Work on complex, real‑world workflows with real customers
- Learn how to build AI systems from first principles, not just wire APIs together
If you’re the kind of person who thrives when challenged, this role gives you extraordinary growth, responsibility, and exposure from day one.
What You’ll Work On
You’ll be hands‑on across the stack, contributing to:
- Building and shipping high‑velocity full‑stack features using TypeScript, Python, and modern frameworks.
- Designing backend systems that interface with AI‑agent workflows and LLM‑powered pipelines.
- Turning messy human “tribal knowledge” into structured, self‑improving AI behaviours.
- Working directly with early design partners to understand their workflows and ship solutions they’ll actually adopt.
- Using LLM coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as genuine productivity partners — not just for prompting, but for reasoning, scaffolding, and accelerating development.
This role is highly collaborative and highly impactful — everything you build will directly shape the future of the product.
Who They’re Looking For
- An exceptional early‑career engineer with less than 2 years’ experience.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals — ideally from a top‑tier university (MSc preferred) or equivalent depth.
- A first‑principles thinker who enjoys solving hard problems and isn’t tied to a specific language.
- Someone already comfortable using LLM tools to boost their development workflow.
- A high‑output builder who thrives in fast‑paced startup environments.
- Someone who loves ownership, learning fast, and working closely with deeply technical founders.
- Languages: TypeScript, Python
- Cloud: AWS
- AI: LLM coding tools, agentic systems, workflow automation
- Approach: First principles, rapid iteration, strong engineering fundamentals
What You’ll Get
- £50k–£70k salary depending on experience
- Meaningful equity in a company at the ground floor
- Once‑in‑a‑lifetime learning from seasoned technical founders
- A chance to build real AI systems solving real problems
- Responsibility and ownership far beyond a typical junior role
- A fast‑moving, ambitious environment where you can grow faster than anywhere else
