They are seeking a motivated Junior Climate Finance Analyst to join their team and contribute to their mission of driving decarbonisation through data-driven financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modelling to support investment decisions in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
  • Perform ESG and sustainability risk assessments, integrating non-financial metrics into valuation models.
  • Assist in preparing detailed carbon footprint reports, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions analysis, for a range of clients.
  • Support the development of client decarbonisation strategies, including cost analysis and practical implementation plans.
  • Build and maintain financial models, such as discounted cash flow (DCF), Monte Carlo simulations, and scenario analyses, to evaluate investment opportunities and optimise portfolio performance.
  • Prepare and deliver market insights and updates on investment strategies, climate policy developments, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct research on clean technology investments, identifying opportunities and assessing risks in emerging markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with sustainability goals and client objectives.

Essential Criteria:

  • Fluency in both Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong academic background in finance, economics, or sustainability.
  • MSc in Climate Change, Management, and Finance (or equivalent) preferred; BSc in Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in financial modelling, including DCF, WACC adjustments, and scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools and platforms (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, Python).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Passion for sustainability and tackling climate change challenges.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ESG principles and carbon credit trading is beneficial.
