IT Support Engineer – MSP / Field Support – London-Based Clients (Mon–Fri)
Location: London (mix of client site work and remote support)
Client: A well-established London-based MSP
We\’re working with a growing London-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) that\’s looking to bring on an experienced IT Support Engineer to support their expanding client base across the city.
This is a Monday to Friday position only, with no night or weekend shifts. The role involves a blend of field-based work at client sites in London and remote support from home on the days you\’re not on-site.
You must be based in London (or very nearby) as travel to client offices across Greater London is a regular part of the role.
The Role
As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll play a key part in delivering technical support and projects for a range of clients across industries. Your week will typically include 1 to 5 days per week onsite, depending on support needs and scheduled work, with the rest of your time spent working remotely from home.
The role sits within a skilled technical team and offers exposure to a wide range of Microsoft and cloud technologies, as well as career development and certification support.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot a variety of technical issues including workstations, cloud services, user access, software, and networking (DNS, VPN, firewalls).
- Attend client sites across London for onsite support, installations, and project delivery.
- Provide remote helpdesk support using RMM and PSA tools on days not spent on-site.
- Ensure tickets are logged, managed, and resolved in line with SLAs.
- Collaborate with internal engineers and elevate when needed.
- Maintain internal documentation and follow best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in an MSP or fast-paced multi-client IT environment.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs)
- RMM/PSA tools such as NinjaOne, ConnectWise, Datto
- Excellent client-facing skills with a strong focus on communication and service delivery.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage field and remote work independently.
- Must be currently living in London or able to easily commute across London.
- Bonus: Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, MS-100/101), PowerShell, or ISO/GDPR awareness.
