I’m recruiting on behalf of my client, an IT Solutions firm based in Birmingham for an IT Support Engineer to join their technical team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical knowledge of various IT systems and technologies, including Windows desktop and server environments, Office 365 administration, Active Directory, Azure cloud services, Network Troubleshooting, Telephony systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows desktop and server environments.
- Administer Office 365 environments, including user management, email configurations, and security settings.
- Deploy and manage Azure cloud services, assisting clients with migrations, implementations, and optimisations.
- Support and maintain telephony systems, assisting clients with configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with the first-line support team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document and maintain accurate records of technical configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist with project implementations, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continuously expanding technical knowledge and skills.
Skills required:
- A proven track record in Managed Service Provider (MSP) / IT Solutions environment.
- Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systems, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Strong understanding of Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Experience with telephony systems, including installation, configuration, and support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
