📈 Progression Path to Senior Leadership / Future COO
🏡 Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in London office
Are you a builder who loves getting stuck in, solving problems, and scaling things that matter?
This is an opportunity to join a well-funded, mission-driven climate tech start-up that’s making home energy smarter, cheaper, and cleaner. Backed by top-tier investors and already partnered with major industry players, they’re now entering a high-growth phase — and need someone to own and scale their operational engine.
🌟 The Role
You’ll be the person who sets up and runs the backbone of the business. From customer support to finance ops to internal systems — you’ll build, optimise, and eventually scale out these functions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape strategy while rolling up your sleeves to make things happen.
This is perfect for someone who’s set up operations inside an early-stage startup and is ready to have a real impact.
🔧 What You’ll Do
- Build and own core operational functions — from customer support to finance and reporting.
- Set up and streamline customer onboarding & support, using tools, automation, and feedback loops to improve the user experience.
- Be the voice of the customer internally, making sure insights and issues feed into product and commercial roadmaps.
- Manage and grow a Customer Success function, including hiring and developing team members as the business scales.
- Take ownership of finance operations (billing, invoicing, VAT, investor updates) with support from external accountants.
- Identify and fix operational bottlenecks — designing scalable systems and processes.
- Work closely with the founders on key strategic and commercial priorities.
🧠 You Should Apply If You…
- Have startup or scale-up experience — ideally you’ve built or scaled functions from scratch.
- Are a do’er — hands-on, resourceful, and happy to get into the weeds while building for scale.
- Bring a strong operational toolkit across customer, finance, and process building.
- Thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy solving messy problems.
- Are excited by the idea of joining a mission-led company at a formative stage.
- (Bonus) Experience in B2C, tech, or climate tech is a plus.
💰 The Package
- £50,000 – £100,000 base (depending on experience)
- Stock options — real ownership as the company grows
- Clear progression pathway to senior roles, including the potential to step into a COO position in the future.
- Hybrid working: 2–3 days/week in their London office
