Head of IT Operations / IT Service Manager

Full-Time | Office-Based (Salisbury – 1 day/month in London)

A growing, tech-forward organisation is looking for an experienced IT Operations & Service Manager to take ownership of IT service delivery and technology operations across the business. This is a key strategic role for someone confident balancing leadership, hands-on technical insight, and supplier management — with a strong understanding of modern cloud-first environments (Azure/M365).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT operations, including internal service desk and third-party suppliers
• Champion and evolve the business’s cloud infrastructure, security, and service platforms
• Define SLAs, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous service improvement
• Oversee IT compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, and audit readiness (GDPR, ISO)
• Deliver IT change initiatives and manage vendor relationships across infrastructure and services
• Provide occasional 1st-line support and work cross-functionally with internal teams

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in IT operations and service management roles
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, M365, Intune, etc.)
• Background in regulated or service-driven industries (insurance, finance, etc.) beneficial
• Strong problem-solving, supplier management, and stakeholder communication skills
