Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Start date: November 2025
About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy business pioneering behind-the-meter clean energy infrastructure for large industrial and blue-chip power users — including data centres, manufacturers, and logistics firms.
They design, fund, and operate on-site renewable energy systems that help major organisations reduce emissions, cut costs, and secure reliable power — all without upfront capital expenditure.
Following strong institutional backing and a recent strategic rebrand, the company is entering an exciting scale-up phase and is now seeking a bright, commercially minded graduate to work directly with the Chief Executive Officer.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for a high-calibre graduate to work closely with the CEO on strategic, analytical, and business planning projects.
You will gain direct exposure to senior decision-making and play a key role in shaping the company’s future growth strategy as it expands its operations across the UK energy sector.
This role combines analytical rigour, commercial acumen, and business leadership exposure — ideal for someone looking to build a career at the intersection of strategy, energy, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities • Support the CEO in strategic planning, financial modelling, and performance analysis. • Conduct market, policy, and competitor research to identify commercial opportunities and inform decision-making. • Build and maintain dashboards, forecasts, and business models to support strategic growth. • Assist with the preparation of board materials, investor presentations, and executive reports. • Work cross-functionally with teams in finance, operations, and commercial development to align on key business objectives. • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve business performance, processes, and efficiency. • Provide data-driven insights to guide investment decisions and new business initiatives.
About You • Graduate from a top UK university (e.g. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, Durham, Warwick, or equivalent). • Strong academic background in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Business/Finance. • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong proficiency in Excel and data interpretation. • Clear and confident communicator, able to present insights and recommendations effectively. • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. • Genuine interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and commercial strategy. • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or Python would be advantageous, though not essential.
What’s on Offer • Direct mentorship and exposure to the CEO and senior leadership team. • Hands-on experience in business strategy, analytics, and planning. • Opportunity to grow rapidly within a high-impact renewable energy company. • Competitive salary plus annual bonus (£50,000 – £55,000 in year one). • Hybrid working from a central London office. • Supportive and collaborative team culture with strong professional development opportunities.
