We are seeking an AI Engineer to join a fast-growing, AI-focused organisation as they establish their UK presence. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background who is passionate about building conversational AI systems and wants to work at the forefront of NLP and large language model (LLM) development. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising conversational AI agents, working closely with a collaborative, technically driven team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise conversational AI agents using modern NLP and LLM frameworks
- Develop and refine dialogue flows, prompts, and system behaviours to improve user interactions
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality AI solutions
- Integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
- Evaluate and improve model outputs through testing, iteration, and data-driven insights
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, NLP, and generative models
Candidate Requirements
- Strong academic background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, NLP, or a similar role (or strong relevant projects)
- Experience working with Python and relevant AI/ML libraries
- Understanding of NLP concepts, conversational systems, or large language models
- Familiarity with APIs and integrating AI models into applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
