A well-established building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and public-sector developments. With a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and client partnership, this firm offers the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning.

You’ll play a key role in shaping electrical design solutions for non-domestic buildings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing technical expertise throughout the full lifecycle of each project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design for building services projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and data installations
  • Oversee project delivery from initial concept through to installation and commissioning
  • Produce specifications, load assessments, drawings, and reports using industry-standard software
  • Evaluate contractor submissions, manage technical aspects of the tender process, and support site activities
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, offering clear advice on compliance, performance, and cost-effective solutions
Key Requirements:
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng or IEng), or working towards
  • Proficiency in Amtech, Hevacomp Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or Revit MEP
  • Strong understanding of BS 7671 and associated British Standards
  • Confident communicator with experience leading technical teams and managing clients
