A growing Managed Service Provider is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone coming from a service desk or infrastructure MSP background who has taken on cyber security responsibilities and now wants to specialise further in security, while still leveraging strong IT foundations. You’ll work across multiple customer environments, handling cyber security tickets, monitoring security platforms, and supporting customers in improving their overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and respond to cyber security incidents and tickets across customer environments.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to alerts from MDR and SIEM platforms.
- Administer and support Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps).
- Support ITDR initiatives, identity protection, and endpoint security controls.
- Assist customers with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, including remediation.
- Work closely with infrastructure engineers to ensure secure system and cloud configurations.
- Maintain clear documentation, incident reports, and security recommendations.
