A strategic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially-minded Business Development Senior Manager to lead the expansion of partnerships and client growth across the housing, energy efficiency, and retrofit sectors. This role is integral to driving revenue, strengthening market presence, and delivering impactful solutions through a consultative, relationship-led approach.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in business development or sales who thrives in a high-growth environment and is motivated by delivering value and building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire and retain clients
- Identify and convert high-potential business opportunities aligned with organisational goals
- Monitor market, regulatory, and funding developments to shape commercial strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with housing associations, local authorities, and private and social landlords
- Leverage in-depth understanding of government schemes such as ECO4, GBIS, and Warm Homes to support client solutions
- Develop referral partnerships, broker networks, and strategic industry alliances
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience
- Consistently meet revenue and growth targets
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and expand existing client relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams across operations, marketing, and finance to ensure service excellence
- Demonstrable experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably within energy, housing, or sustainability sectors)
- Strong understanding of UK energy efficiency and retrofit funding mechanisms (e.g. ECO4, GBIS)
