We are looking for a skilled and proactive AWS Engineer to join a dynamic start-up focused on revolutionising the way digital fraud is detected. This role will be fully remote, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, particularly with serverless architecture, and the ability to optimise infrastructure to support advanced AI-driven fraud detection solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure using services such as SageMaker, Lambda, EventBridge, ECS, and CDK.
- Implement serverless architectures and automation solutions to optimise the detection of fraud in digital files.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the AWS infrastructure, supporting real-time analysis of images, PDFs, and metadata.
- Work closely with development and product teams to integrate cloud services into the company’s AI platform.
- Manage cloud security and ensure compliance with industry standards, ensuring the highest levels of data protection and privacy.
- Optimise costs by leveraging AWS best practices for cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to internal teams, assisting with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with AWS services, especially SageMaker, Lambda, EventBridge, ECS, and CDK.
- Strong understanding of serverless architectures and cloud automation.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Solid knowledge of cloud security, performance tuning, and cost optimisation best practices.
- Familiarity with AI-driven applications or fraud detection solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
