Salary: £75,000 – £80,000

On-site / Hybrid / Remote: Hybrid (2 days / week in office)

Intellect Group are proud to be partnering with a non-profit health organisation to appoint an AI Transformation Lead within their Digital and Data team. This newly created role will play a pivotal part in shaping the organisation’s AI strategy and embedding responsible, impactful AI solutions across fundraising, services, operations, and research.

As AI Transformation Lead, you will operate at the intersection of product leadership, technical development, and strategic change. You’ll be responsible for designing the AI roadmap, delivering proof-of-concepts through to production, and championing the ethical adoption of AI across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll raise AI literacy, identify opportunities for innovation, and ensure solutions are scalable and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the AI strategy and product roadmap.
• Lead the design, prototyping, and production of LLM-based applications (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone).
• Build technical integrations with platforms such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and CMS tools.
• Define and embed AI governance standards, ensuring ethical and compliant use.
• Act as an AI thought leader, running workshops, training, and innovation events.
• Monitor and evaluate AI adoption, efficiency gains, and business impact.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced AI leader with:

• Proven success in AI/ML product development and innovation lifecycles.
• Strong technical expertise in machine learning, data science, or computer science.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using LLMs and APIs.
• Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of AI ethics, governance, and compliance frameworks.
