About the Role

Intellect Group is seeking an experienced AI Governance Director on behalf of a leading global professional services firm specializing in digital transformation. This strategic leadership role focuses on AI governance, risk management, and compliance, ensuring the responsible adoption of AI across the business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AI or Machine Learning Governance, strong stakeholder management expertise, the ability to drive cultural change, and exceptional negotiation skills to influence senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI governance framework aligned with regulatory and industry best practices.
• Lead AI risk management initiatives, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and security standards.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies to shape AI policies and governance strategies.
• Drive organizational culture change, embedding responsible AI principles into business operations.
• Collaborate with technical teams, data scientists, legal, and compliance teams to enforce AI governance policies.
• Stay ahead of global AI regulatory changes, ensuring proactive compliance.
• Provide leadership on AI ethics, bias mitigation, and transparency.
• Negotiate AI compliance, risk management, and security measures with key stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in AI Governance, Machine Learning Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong background in AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives, regulators, and external partners.
• Experience leading cultural change initiatives in AI adoption and governance.
• Strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI governance issues for diverse audiences.
• In-depth understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes.
