Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Service Delivery Manager to lead the successful implementation of a major banking transformation project with one of the UK’s largest fund managers. This role requires deep experience in managing complex financial technology deliveries and a strong background in onsite–offshore project execution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15–18 years of progressive experience in IT service delivery, including at least 5+ years in a senior delivery role managing large enterprise accounts.
- Demonstrated expertise in the banking domain, including core banking or digital banking product implementations.
- Extensive onsite–offshore delivery management experience, with a strong track record of managing distributed teams across geographies.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent certifications preferred).
- Strong experience in contract management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive high performance.
- Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and quality control procedures.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills – native English speaker preferred.
- Experience in working in highly regulated environments and with Tier 1 financial institutions is a strong plus.
Senior-Level Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Ability to manage multi-million-pound engagements and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Experience delivering projects in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
- Adept at managing complex stakeholder ecosystems across client, vendor, and internal teams.
