Operating model designers or enterprise agility leads who have scaled and improved a live SAFe or product-centric operating model, in any industry (healthcare and automotive in scope). You will be tasked with owning how an org of thousands creates and evolves its value streams: the method, the decision rights between LPM and the streams, the artefacts, and the design authority that keeps the model whole as it grows from seven value streams to many more.
- Organising around value: SAFe value streams
- Designed or redesigned an agile operating model with measurable results
- Set decision rights and funding rules between portfolio management and the teams
- Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) boundaries and decision rights
- Design authority, decision log, rulings that hold across platforms
- Evolving a live scaled-agile model after go-live
- Moved separate units onto one planning cadence and one Jira
Own the method for creating value streams: criteria, sizing, when to split, merge or retire one, and the organisation design around them. Chair the design authority. Define decision rights between LPM and the value streams, and the boundaries with HR and enterprise architecture. Track whether the model is improving delivery and change it where it is not.
