This role requires a hybrid leader who can run a team of engineers and hold their own on Kubernetes architecture with the sharpest technical stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
- Leadership of a platform engineering team (c. 20 engineers), coaching and raising standards
- Kubernetes platform architecture, developer enablement, engineering leadership and platform governance
- Deep knowledge of multi-tenancy design
- Kubernetes platform design and operating model
- Multi-tenancy strategy: namespace, cluster and virtual-cluster trade-offs
- Platform roadmap, adoption, lifecycle, upgrades, observability, compliance
Must Have
- Real production Kubernetes platform engineering, ideally multi-tenant at scale
- Fluency in control plane vs data plane isolation, API server tenancy, RBAC and admission control
- GitOps and IaC (ArgoCD / Flux, Terraform / Terragrunt)
- A track record of leading engineers, setting standards and driving platform adoption
- Strong stakeholder management across engineering, security and architecture

- AWS EKS or OpenShift ownership
