This is an enterprise operating model, global capability centre, headcount-and-location, AI-era reshaping role.
Group Operations or Technology Directors from regulated financial services who have built or scaled an offshore capability centre themselves, sit on its board, and now own the group operating model that depends on it. You will be tasked with owning what a technology and change organisation of several thousand people looks like, which capabilities sit where, how many people, in which countries, how AI changes the shape of teams, and the roadmap that gets it there. Two location strategy programme managers report to you.
Own the enterprise target operating model: capabilities, accountabilities, decision rights, structure. Lead location strategy: headcount by geography, where teams should be based, what moves and what stays. Reshape the organisation for AI: smaller teams, lower cost base, new capabilities where AI creates them. Turn the design into a sequenced roadmap with benefits tracked with Finance. Act as design authority with the senior leadership team, Finance and the People function
PROFILE:
- Built or scaled an offshore or nearshore capability centre and ran it
- Designed and implemented a group-level target operating model: structure, accountabilities, decision rights, governance
- Location strategy owned: headcount by geography, real-estate and footprint decisions, insourcing and supplier optimisation
- Automation and AI deployed into live operations with FTE or cost numbers attached
- Board or director seats on operating entities
- PRA and FCA regulated environment: outsourcing, operational resilience, financial crime
- Stayed through implementation: consultation, transition, the year after go-live
